Obergurgl is the highest-situated church village in Austria: the Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski region in snowy Tyrol extends to over 3,000 meters and entices both beginners and experts to the slopes. The elevation guarantees absolute snow reliability from the start of November until the end of April.
The ski region offers 24 lift systems, 110 kilometres of slopes, powder and fun in alpine huts. The booming free ride scene finds adequate space to whisk through the mountain landscape in pristine nature. On Tuesday and Thursday the destination always has to be night skiing. The Top Mountain Star panorama bar awaits you at 3,080 meters: The view of the surrounding mountain peaks will inspire you!

Hohe Mut Alm

The Sunny Alpine Restaurant at 2,670m - Top cuisine, with many regional specialities, a cosy mountain hut Tyrolean-style, with an abundance of wood and its own delightful atmosphere, homely Tyrolean parlours and one of the sunniest terraces for deckchairs – the Hohe Mut Alm, at the head of the Ötz Valley, offers everything your heart desires.

Nederhütte

The quaint Ski Hut nestles at the heart of the Ötztal Alps, right amidst the Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski area at 2,104 meters altitude: welcome to scenic Nederhütte!
Here you enjoy jovial hut moments, skiing fun and high standard après-ski. Four times a week, our in-house party band "Die Nederlumpen" promise ultimate dancing fun and entertainment. Ready to rock the stage.

Schönwieshütte

In Obergurgl, off the prepared pistes, modern & traditions have been impressively combined to a place of peace and comfort.
The young, motivated team at Schönwieshütte spoils you with home-made treats and local dishes. Special attention is paid to the origin and the regionality!
The fastest and most comfortable way to the hut is by ski-doo transfer. We pick you up free of charge from the station of the Steinmannbahn.
Zirbenalm

The traditional hut is located next to the Steinmann-Bahn chairlift, surrounded by the beautiful pine forest above Obergurgl. The location used to be known as "David's Skihütte" and has welcomed skiers and snowboarders for many decades with its delicious local food and friendly atmosphere. Now it has been taken over by new owners Jo and Michael.
The Zirben Alm at the end of pistes 4a and 5 in Obergurgl is the ideal place to chill out, have a drink and top up your holiday tan. The hut is just a few metres from the pine forest and is close to the Steinmann-Bahn chairlift, making it the perfect slopeside bar.
Guests who are not skiers or snowboarders can also join in the après-ski fun: the Zirben Alm is just a 20-minute walk from the centre of Obergurgl.
Top Mountain Crosspoint

Top Mountain Crosspoint, is being created, a modern, multifunctional building in an area of 6,060m². Here you will find a first class restaurant with a beautiful panoramic terrace which offers views of the ski area Hochgurgl/Obergurgl and the Ötztaler Alps. Even Europe’s highest motorcycle museum has found room here. In an area of 2,600m² this museum has made an impression not only on motorcycle fans, with over 230 classic motorcycles from more than 100 manufacturers. Further on, you will find in Top Mountain Crosspoint the lower station of the Kirchenkarbahn, as well as the Timmelsjoch toll station.
Lots of wood, some steel, large windows overlooking the Ötztaler Alps, as well as a spacious, lofty room, whereby individual areas are cleverly staged – thus eating and drinking at over 2,100m is fun for the youngest and oldest alike! Tyrolean hospitality in a contemporary design with somewhat industrial chic – a true feel-good restaurant!
Top Mountain Star on Wurmkogl peak

The Top Mountain Star on Wurmkogl peak at 3,082m is a real highlight in the true sense of the word - combining a panoramic platform and a wonderful bar.
At the end of the ridge you find the outstanding Panorama Bar boasting a circular viewing platform and breathtaking 360-degree vistas for all senses. You can admire not only the Italian Dolomites in the south but also the entire Ötztal Alps - including Wildspitze peak - in the north.
Additionally, tasty regional delights are served in the restaurant which also offers a twinkling Star Bar.
Night skiing on the Festkogl

Even if you have an unforgettable skiing day in your legs, it is almost a MUST for every Madeleine holiday-maker to head out onto the freshly prepared evening ski runs along the illuminated descent from the Festkogl. A completely different ski feeling at night. It feels like you’re gliding on a cloud.
The ultimativ highlight this evening is the skishow of the local skischool with fascinating fire works.
Natural Toboggan Run in Hochgurgl

The highlight for passionate tobogganists: three kilometer long natural toboggan track with exciting turns. Leading from the top station to the base terminal of Hochgurgl mountain gondola. Easy ascent from Pill with Hochgurgl gondola. Toboggan rental at the top and base terminal of Hochgurgl gondola.
Daily toboggan during the hours of operation and night tobogganing two times a week.
