This is how to get to Hotel Madeleine
The beauty of the Ötztal Alps becomes apparent even on the way to Obergurgl. Traditional villages pass by as you head ever deeper into the Ötztal. Ski school and ski rentals can also be reached by foot.
The Hotel Madeleine is only three minutes from the main ski lifts Roßkar and Hohe Mut. The Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski region can be reached directly from there.

Possibilities and ways to find us
Arrival by car
From Austria or via Munich, take the A12 in the direction of Arlberg to the “Haiming/Ötztal“ exit. From Switzerland, take the A12 in the direction of Innsbruck until the exit. Travel via Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Imst does not require a highway permit sticker. Take the B186 in the direction of Ötztal.
Obergurgl is at the end of the valley in the midst of Nature at its finest. Snow chains are recommended in winter. Arrival across the Timmelsjoch is not possible in winter: The border crossing is blocked from the start of November.
Arrival by Train
The Austrian Railways Railjet arrives at the train station at Ötztal, approximately fifty kilometres from Innsbruck. From there, Obergrugl can be reached via bus (approximately 1.5 hours), the Ötztal-Shuttle (approximately 50 minutes), or taxi (approximately 50 minutes).
Arrival by Airplane
The nearest airport is at Innsbruck, approximately 100 kilometres from Obergurgl. Alternatively, you can fly from Munich (250 km) or Zurich (300 km). You can travel onwards by public transport per train or bus – the Ötztal shuttle can also be recommended. Private transfer can be organized, for example with Taxi Ossi.
